Good grief! I'm so out of touch that I've only seen one of those listed (the first). I've spent most of my viewing catching up with the classics of the past and happily wallowing in lots of cinematic trash. I'll have to try some random lists!
Well, at least I don't feel so bad now. Weaverman's only seen one on the list and I've only seen one. Of course, not the same one. The sole and lonely film I've seen on the list was Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN but I have to admit I wasn't as impressed with it as you. And sadly I've never seen PAN'S LABYRINTH but I have seen THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE; and from it's absence on your list I assume we agree on that one -- OK but not fab. And really have to see these other movies on your list. Thankfully, now I have a list from which to search for my future viewing!
Hello from Spain,
It´s curious this Guillermo del Toro´s attraction towards the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). The two films he has directed in Spain ("Pan´s Labyrinth" and "The Devil´s Backbone") take place during this terrible time. And he is going to make another film about it...
